Spring Break Fun

Last year my spring break with Maddie was just us laying around at home taking lots of naps and enjoying our last week of maternity leave. This year was so much more fun with Maddie just a bit older.
We played at the library because they have fun tables with blocks and magnets. Also, Maddie loves being there because there are always other kids for her to interact with. The last time we went there was a little boy, probably 2 or 3 and he crawled around with her. They kept following each other and playing behind curtains and looking out at the road. She is a social butterfly.

We also went to the new aquarium they have here in Utah because I had some free tickets from during a survey when some people from the aquarium did a 4th grade presentation. It seemed like it took Maddie a little while to catch the idea of the fish, and she was too scared to touch any of the starfish or stingrays in the touch pool they had, but we all had fun.

Taylor was still doing his internship the week I was off, so Maddie and I went up to Salt Lake and visited, got a tour of the Governors office, and met some people he works with. We also went thrift store shopping and had dinner with a friend from my mission.

This picture is of a friend from high school who joined the church! She came to Utah to visit her missionaries and made some time to have dinner with us. It was great to see her.
